Kid Cudi’s real name is Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi.
His debut single “Day n’ Nite” was originally released as a self-produced song on his MySpace page. The song, which would eventually be featured on his debut album 2009’s Man on the Moon: The End of Day, became a global hit.
Kid Cudi formed an alternative rock band called WZRD with friend Dot da Genuis. The band released an album in 2012 titled WZRD.
The band name WZRD was inspired by the Black Sabbath song “The Wizard.”
Kid Cudi is also an aspiring actor and has appeared in several television shows including Westworld, Entergalatic and Creepshow. In addition to television, Cudi has appeared in movies such as Two Night Stand, Entourage and Drunk Parents.
In addition to collaborating with hip hop stars such as Travis Scott, Kanye West and Common, Kid Cudi has collaborated with indie bands MGMT and Ratatat.
Kid Cudi is one half of rap duos The Scotts (with Travis Scott) and Kids See Ghosts (with Kanye West).
Kid Cudi has released 5 studio albums that have reached the Top 5 on the Billboard Charts.
