Desmond Child might not be a household name to most people but his songs have ruled the airwaves for the past 30 years. Child started his music career in the late 1970’s with the band Desmond Child & Rouge. Although the group did not reach superstar status, Child pushed ahead and became a renowned songwriter and producer. Throughout his career as a songwriter, he’s contributed his songwriting talents to a diverse group of artists from hard rockers Scorpions, Ratt and Kiss to pop rock stars Katy Perry, Ricky Martin and Kelly Clarkson.
