Duran Duran exploded on to the music scene in 1981 with their debut single “Planet Earth,” which peaked at #12 on the UK Singles Chart. The band had catchy songs and made-for-television looks that provided an irresistible combination for music fans. No one, however, could have predicted the success Duran Duran would achieve throughout the 1980’s.
