Phil Collins as Guest Drummer

Phil Collins is a household name to almost anyone that has listened to music over the past 40 years. In the 70’s, he was an integral part of Genesis – first as a drummer and later becoming the lead singer and frontman following Peter Gabriel’s departure. In the 80’s, MTV viewers rarely went more than 2 hours without seeing Phil Collins on screen singing staples such as “One More Night,” In the Air Tonight” or “Sussudio.” However, despite all of the fame, many have no idea how many artists Phil Collins lent his drumming skills to – not to mention vocals and production. During the 1980’s Collins was in demand from everyone from Eric Clapton to Phillip Bailey of Earth Wind and Fire. Even as he continued working with Genesis and his solo work, Phil Collins helped make some memorable music with other artists.
