I started looking at the net worth of rock stars thinking most of my searches would reveal hundreds of millions each. To my surprise, the number of rock stars with a net worth of more than $100 million is much smaller than I expected. In fact, I would have lost money betting that Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Roger Daltrey, members of Motley Crue and many others were below $100 million. I’m including a list of those that were $100 million or above. One thing to keep in mind is that the songwriters are the ones with the big bucks. Consider Fleetwood Mac, for instance, where Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham are well over $100 million each but founding members John McVie and Mick Fleetwood are under $100 million net worth.
