UB40 enjoyed commercial success around the globe, including the US where they scored 5 Top 40 hits – including four Top 10 singles between 1988 and 1993 (“Red Red Wine,” “Here I Am (Come and Take Me),” “The Way You Do the Things You Do,” and “(I Can’t Help) Falling in Love with You”). Despite the success in the US, UB40 never took off as a major hitmaker beyond those four songs. In the UK, however, UB40 were a major commercial success beginning in 1980 with their first single “King” / Food for Thought,” which reached #4 on the UK singles chart. Unlike the US where all of their hits were cover songs, UB40 had several originals become Top 40 hits. In all, UB40 hit the UK Top singles chart 16 times. Below is the list of Top 10 UK singles.
