Rick Rubin is best known as the founder of Def Jam records and well as producer of numerous great records of the past 30 years. His most notable collaborations include work with Johnny Cash, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Beastie Boys and Tom Petty as well as tons of hip hop and heavy metal albums by artists ranging from Run-DMC to Danzig. Rubin was also associated with many of the acts on his Def American/American Record label. However, Rubin has also provided his production talents to a wide variety of artists that might surprise most music fans.
